Stone Africa's IOC is a hardened, purpose-built command environment engineered to deliver uninterrupted operational oversight across the continent. Built for resilience and continuity, the space is always live and built to withstand both physical and digital disruption. A 3.5-metre video wall forms the visual backbone of the room, delivering a unified, multi-domain picture across land, air, and digital theatres. Operator stations are equipped with high-performance computing, independent data routing, and hardened firewalls with enforced red/black segregation. Network and power redundancies are built into the facility to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and eliminating critical failure points.

He has supported operational planning and duty of care frameworks for global organisations across 70 countries, including clients in technology, and high-risk sectors. Prior to Stone Africa, Lawrence was recruited by the Alibaba Group to serve as Director of International Security. In this role, he built and expanded the board-mandated executive protection program, supporting the global travel and security needs of the company’s C-suite, founders, and their families. Lawrence went on to co-found the Stone Group and build out its subsidiary, Stone Africa – with a focus on the African continent.

The group’s portfolio has included delivering task orders under U.S. Department of State programmes such as Africa Peacekeeping Program (AFRICAP), supporting U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programmes, conducting due diligence and compliance assessments for international investors targeting the region, providing training for United Nations field operations in locations such as the White Nile, and implementing UAV programmes for government agencies. Active in the region since 2012, Jonty previously held management roles with the World Food Programme (WFP) during the Ebola Virus Disease response and supported KBR corporate across Africa.
